I am a student-athlete at Queens University of Charlotte graduating in 2019. I will be receiving my BA in communications and journalism digital media.  I hope to expand my knowledge of framing and advanced techniques to create the skills needed to be a successful professional.

I have been looking through a lens since I was twelve searching for the perfect frame. In school, I began to learn how the world focuses on facts and presentation. Tomorrow, I plan to open the imaginations of others and inspire them.

My Experience at Queens

From the start, I enjoyed the Queen's small yet very connected atmosphere. Into the year of super senior what I enjoyed the most was walking to and from class and around campus itself. There was always someone that you experienced a group project that turned out way better than expected. Maybe, you see someone you went with to another country during one of the most controversial events in our future history books. Or there was someone that you just connected with your public speaking stories motivating each other. One of the most important classes I ever took at Queens was public speaking, and I think every communications professor can say that in itself it will help you the most in the following advanced communications courses with hour-long presentations and twenty-two paged writing prompts. Correct vocabulary and how you carry your sound throughout Charlotte will be heard by all the roaring Royals roaming on campus.

When we put down the pen and paper, we would join to support our fellow athletes cheering on our favorite athletes such as basketball or field hockey. Being a swimmer for Queens here the athletic experiences have shaped my internal clock to be ready for anything at five am. The Queens Center for Student Success tells me that companies find these traits attractive on your resume. The opportunities at Queens help you understand how to present your self in a business atmosphere for professionals. I have learned how to stick to roll on production sets where the creativity is only to scratch to the surface with some of the most creative minds.  Journalism has captivated me with the history of how our societies formed and why it's important the world stay connected by bridging the gap in the digital divide.
